Grays Athletic say goodbye to long-serving forward

Grays Athletic have announced the departure of winger Aron Gordon following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Gordon first arrived at the Blues at the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

He went on to feature more than 200 times for the club in all competitions.

Paying tribute to the outgoing Gordon, a Grays Athletic statement read: "A genuinely lovely guy, who always has a smile on his face, we thank him for the memories, his time and professionalism whilst with the club."

It has been a busy few days for the Blues, who recently confirmed the appointment of a new three-strong management team.

Mitch Hahn, a former player who was also appointed interim assistant manager back in February, has been handed the managerial reins permanently after helping to preserve the club's Isthmian North status.

He will be assisted by two more familiar faces to Grays supporters, in Ashley Miller and Lewis Clark.

Miller was most recently assistant to Steve Tilson at Heybridge Swifts, while Clark stepped into a coaching role with Grays towards the end of last season.

On their appointments, chairman Lee Vehit said: “I'm delighted that Mitch, Ash and Lewis are forming our new management team.

"They are all hugely ambitious and hungry for success, and will lead the club into a new era as we make the transition towards Ship Lane.”
