Griggs of the Regent- again!

Brightlingsea Regent have announced the return of defender Ricky Griggs, who plays a big part in their folklore. 

Ricky was with Regent for a decade, made more than four hundred appearances, and experienced success in the Essex and Suffolk Border League, Eastern Counties Division One and Eastern Counties Premier before Regent joined us for the 2014-15 campaign. He remained one of the first names on the teamsheet as they established themselves in our North Division and eventually won the title in 2016-17, and continued to be an important part of the first team as they moved on to our top flight, before departing in the autumn of 2019. 

Ricky was at Brightlingsea Town for the last few years, and has also turned out for FC Clacton since leaving the Taydal. He also played for Clacton- then called Clacton Town- prior to originally joining Regent all those years ago.
