Hadler heads to Faversham

New Lilywhites boss Steve Watt makes Tom Hadler his first signing

Whilst we were on holiday Faversham Town named Steve Watt as their new manager- and his first signing is keeper Tom Hadler.

You'll remember Steve from his success with Hythe Town- he steered the Cannons to a Play Off Final and a Semi-Final during his time at the club. He was previously in charge of Margate and (as caretaker) Maidstone United. As a player he turned out for Chelsea, Ross County, Grimsby Town and Maidstone United, amongst others, and played for Scotland at Under 21 level.

Keeper Tom makes the move from Ramsgate, where he played an enormous part in their 24-25 Pitching In Isthmian South East title win before suffering an injury which kept him on the sidelines last season. He actually ended the campaign recently ended as part of a temporary Rams management team.

Tom came through the ranks at Gillingham, and whilst a Gill had a number of Isthmian experiences, playing on loan for Tonbridge Angels, Grays Athletic and Folkestone Invicta. Further up the pyramid he spent time with Gloucester City, before moving to the Sussex coast to sign for Eastbourne Borough. After a season with the Sports, Ebbsfleet United was his next stop, before joining Maidstone United and becoming a title winner.

He joined Ramsgate in the summer of 2023.
