Hastings land Haines on permanent deal
Hastings United have completed the permanent signing of Bromley goalkeeper Harry Haines.
The 18-year-old shot-stopper spent the latter part of the 2025/26 season on loan at the U’s, making 13 appearances in the Isthmian South East as they finished in 17th place, five points above the relegation zone.
Haines famously went viral on social media in October 2024 when he scored from inside his own penalty box while featuring for Bromley’s Under 18s.
Ronnie Dolan’s side will be looking to make huge strides up the table in a bid to reach the Isthmian Premier - the same league they were relegated from during the 2024/25 campaign.
After putting pen to paper, Haines said: “I’m delighted to sign for Hastings United. It’s a massive club with great history, passionate fans and big ambitions.
“I can’t wait to wear the badge again and give everything for the team and fans.”
