Harrow Borough welcomed Eastbourne Town, South Central v South East. Borough had started their League campaign positively, winning three of their four matches so far, so much so that even their match reporter Brian Walter seemed cheerful. They were looking for a third win in a row, and indeed a second home win in a row against Sussex opposition, after defeating Bognor the last time they were on their own patch.
The first half was devoid of goals and fairly short on chances, and the second half wasn’t much better, but Luke Brophy finally made a breakthrough for the hosts in the last minute to win the match.
