New Hayes and Yeading United signing Brendan Matthew took only nine minutes to find his scoring boots, putting them ahead as they hosted bottom side Fareham Town; but the visitors were soon level, Charlie Cooper with a twenty third minute equaliser, and they shocked the home fans just before the break, Dan Sibley putting them ahead- and then immediately adding a third! Nine minutes into the second half the match had a fifth goal, Tyler Hayles pulling it back to two-three, and still we weren’t finished, the hosts levelling in added time, Calum Duffy with the equaliser. Surely that was that? Sadly for Fareham, it wasn’t- Matthew almost immediately got a winner! Hayes are fifth, Fareham sixteen points from safety.
