Highlights: Maldon & Tiptree 1 Flackwell Heath 0

We had one Pitching In Isthmian North side hoping for a First Round spot, and perhaps, out of all of our cup fighters, Maldon and Tiptree were the favourites to grab that place amongst the big boys. The Jammers had been in superb form, top of Pitching In Isthmian North and unbeaten in the League, and they welcomed Pitching In Southern Division One side Flackwell Heath. The visitors sit in mid table, but were also unbeaten in the League, and had already knocked out two Step Three sides in the shape of Lewes and Bracknell Town, so were unlikely to be pushovers. So it proved, but the Jammers did manage to squeeze through nonetheless. Freddie Sears- of course- got the only goal of the match, eleven minutes before the break, and the hosts held on despite a red card for Zack Littlejohn soon afterwards. 

The reward- a trip to Port Vale in the First Round.
