Horlock steps down at Maldon
Maldon and Tiptree announce a managerial departure
Maldon and Tiptree have begun the search for a new manager, after the departure of Pitching In Isthmian North title-winning boss Kevin Horlock.
Horlock took charge of the Jammers in February 2025, and his side clinched the 25-26 title on goal difference at the end of last season.
He was previously in charge of the Jammers between 2016 and 2018, joining the club after spells as Assistant at Needham Market and as manager of Chatham Town.
He spent four years managing Needham Market, taking them to promotion to National League North. As well as that promotion, his Marketmen reached the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy, first round proper of the FA Cup, and won the Suffolk Cup on four occasions. He also coached at Colchester United.
Prior to his managerial career, Kevin was a player of some repute. Something of a legend at Swindon Town and Manchester City, he also played for West Ham United and Ipswich Town, as well as more than thirty times for Northern Ireland.
