It's Déjà vu all over again for the All- and the Yellas!

Southall welcomed Ascot United last night determined to hold onto their unbeaten record- and they did even more than that, climbing to fifth with a late winner. 

The previous meeting between the sides, back in February, was won two-one by a late Dan Roberts goal for Southall, and it was a severe case of Déjà vu for both sides- and for Roberts- when the same thing happened again. 

Southall took the lead after only five minutes when Liam Ferdinand popped up to score his fourth League goal in five matches, but the Yellas were quickly level, the returning Tyrese Osbourne making his latest United debut with a goal. That, it seemed, was that, an entertaining match destined to end in a draw- but no! 

Into added time we went, and Dan Roberts suddenly remembered how much he had enjoyed scoring a late winner for The All against these opponents last season. That one came from the spot, but with no penalty available he decided that a strike from open play would have to do, and in it went, with two added minutes already completed. 

That was Dan's first League goal of the campaign, and it sent his side up to fifth in the table, one of- remarkably- seven unbeaten sides in the Division. They are also unbeaten in Cup competitions, which takes them up to nine matches without a loss.

The Yellas are down in fifteenth. 

The All are next in action on SUNDAY, and they have a big match, welcoming Dorking Wanderers of National League South to Honeycroft in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. Ascot host Raynes Park Vale in the League on Saturday.
