Ryan Kingsford swaps Folkestone for Welling

Welling United have agreed to sign a title winner, Ryan Kingsford coming in from Folkestone Invicta.

Ryan joined invicta from Ramsgate in January, and went on to play seventeen times and score twice.

He signed for the Rams in the summer after departing Sittingbourne, and played twenty four times, scoring four goals. Rather ironically his last Rams appearance came in the three-two defeat against Invicta just after Christmas.

The forward made fifty five appearances for the Brickies during the 24-25 season, scoring nineteen goals.

Earlier in his career he spent two years with the Dover Athletic Academy and played briefly for Hollands & Blair before heading to the USA, where he played University football for Loyola Marymount Lions. He returned to the UK in the summer of 2024 and had a trial period with Maidstone United- but it was the Brickies who stepped up and offered him a deal, and he repaid them by playing an enormous part in their success.
