Mitchell back at Stow

Max Mitchell is the new manager at Pitching In Isthmian North side Walthamstow, who parted company with Gifton Noel-Williams last week.

Max was in charge at Potters Bar Town from March 2023 until November 2025, and you'll remember was also once in charge of Hertford Town when they were an Isthmian club, as part of a management duo. He has previously spent time in charge of Welwyn Garden City, and during the pandemic period was actually in charge of Stow; indeed, as the club have pointed out in their statement, ‘he oversaw a 64% win percentage, the highest in the club’s modern history.’

His management career also saw him lead St Margaretsbury, and as a player he turned out for Enfield Town, Ware, Wingate & Finchley, Cheshunt, Thamesmead Town and Aveley, amongst others.
