Moatsiders look to win Surrey silverware- TONIGHT!

Merstham head to Dorking Wanderers in the Surrey Senior Cup Final- Farnham Town their opponents

Pitching In Isthmian South East side Merstham are finishing the campaign in style, and have a chance of silverware this evening as they travel to Meadowbank, home of the Surrey FA and Dorking Wanderers, to take on Farnham Town in the Specsavers Surrey Senior Cup Final.

The Moatsiders have defeated Abbey Rangers, Knaphill, AFC Whyteleafe and Cobham to reach this stage, whilst Farnham have had to fight their way past Epsom & Ewell, Kingstonian, Tooting & Mitcham United and Sutton United on their way to the showpiece.

Merstham have lifted the trophy three times, the last of those in 2017-18. Farnham were in the final as recently as 2023-24, when they lost to South Park Reigate, but are yet to taste Surrey glory.

The Moatsiders will hope that striker Louis Theophanous continues his fine form in front of goal- he has scored thirteen times in his last ten matches. Farnham are chasing yet another promotion, and sit in second place in Pitching In Southern Premier South. The club are rather annoyed with Surrey FA over the scheduling of this final, as it has arrived in a period where they have rather a lot of fixture congestion- indeed they travelled to Somerset as recently as Monday evening when they took on Taunton Town, losing one-nil.
