Leatherhead to have an environmentally-friendly winners parade on Saturday
Many clubs have parades after winning silverware- but Pitching In South Central champions Leatherhead are to prove that they are as green as their shirts, as their parade, scheduled for Saturday, will be on foot!
The Tanners, who won the title by twelve points and scored more than one hundred goals, will be setting off from the pedestrianised end of Leatherhead High Street at 11AM on May 2nd. Players, management, officials, and representatives from our Women’s and Youth teams will be carrying the South Central trophy along the High Street, through the Swan Centre, and then back to the starting point prior to 1145. They'd love to see supporters join them on their short trek, and hope that the local MP will be there too.
We hope that you all have a wonderful time. Sadly we won't be able to join you, as we'll be en route to Stanway Rovers by then!
