Olukolu and Pollock head Maldon way
Jesse Olukolu and Aron Pollock swap the Arena for the Jammers
Maldon and Tiptree is the destination for Brentwood Town duo Jesse Olukolu and Aron Pollock, both debuting in Saturday's defeat at Burgess Hill Town.
Jesse actually debuted for Brentwood as they defeated the Jammers in January 2024, and he made a dozen appearances as Town reached the Pitching In Isthmian North Play Off Final. The following season they did even better, and he played forty four times scoring eight goals as they sealed promotion and reached the Third Round of the FA Trophy. He then played twenty four times in our top flight as the Blues were again unlucky in a Play Off Final last season, and has played six times this season.
He moved to Brentwood from Grays Athletic, where he had made seven appearances during 23-24. He was part of the Athletic squad in the closing stages of the 22-23 season too, making four appearances. He was previously with East Thurrock United, Brightlingsea Regent, Romford, Basildon United, Tilbury and Clapton.
Aron, a defender, started his career as a youth with Leyton Orient, during which time he had his first Isthmian experience on loan to Wingate & Finchley. He went on to have a loan spell at Leatherhead before joining the Tanners permanently under Sammy Moore. He was then to join Moore once more at Concord Rangers, eventually became captain, and was part of the side which reached the FA Trophy Final in 2021. He moved on to Billericay Town for the start of the 23-24 season, playing sixteen times in his first season and seven times during 24-25, and then moved to Brentwood last summer, but had an injury-hit campaign, restricting him to thirteen appearances.
