Osei the Jockey

Newmarket Town have announced that they have agreed to sign Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Osei, who ended last season at Ipswich Wanderers.

Manny wasn't at Wanderers long, he signed just before our transfer window slammed shut and made six appearances. He was previously at Heybridge Swifts, where he had already played thirty eight times and scored four goals. 

He first became part of the Swifts squad in the closing months of the 2018-19 season, when he played an important role in their North Division Playoff success- you may recall that they won our Playoffs only to be denied promotion by an FA re-organisation of the pyramid. He remained at the club for the next two unfinished seasons, making thirty four appearances during 2019-20 and another eleven during 20-21 season. Prior to his time with Swifts, he was with Needham Market, and has also turned out for Waltham Abbey, Leiston, East Thurrock United, Cheshunt and Metropolitan Police.

In between his Swifts spells he spent time at Stowmarket Town and Felixstowe and Walton United.
