Pitching In Isthmian Premier Supporters Predictions 26-27— Final Table
You’ve been reading their predictions- now here’s their final verdict!
For a few weeks you’ve been reading the reviews, previews and predictions of many of our supporters, across all four of our Divisions. You’ve also been seeing their predicted top fives, but what you may not have been aware- if you’re new to the Pitching In Isthmian League, particularly- is that each of our participants picks not only the top five but an entire one to twenty two for their chosen Division. We take those predictions, add them all together, and then, just before the big kick off, produce a predicted league table for each Division- and often it ends up printed out and stuck on a dressing room wall before three o’clock (yes, we’ve seen the photographic evidence!).
First up- because it’s the only Division not affected by Cup matches this weekend- we have our top flight. This is what you think it will look like at the end of the season:

Eastbourne Borough, if your predictions are proved to be correct, will coast to the title by a significant margin. We suspect there are rather a lot of people by that particular coast who hope that you are right! Aveley will be runners up- again- and now we’ve adopted a new Play Off format will be guests at the end of season party with Chatham Town, Dartford, Brentwood Town, St Albans City and Dulwich Hamlet.
At the wrong end of the table you suggested that newly promoted Maldon & Tiptree and Stanway Rovers would not survive the challenge of our top flight- indeed, you placed them well adrift of everyone else, which we’re sure they’ll use as motivation to prove you wrong. You were also fairly sure that Wingate & Finchley and Whitehawk would go down with the two Essex sides- but as both clubs would point out, you’ve thought that before and been wrong then, too!
We’d like to thank all those who have taken part. Over the next week we’ll be running the rest of the North, South Central and South East predictions, and then bring you the predicted tables next Friday. We’ve deliberately delayed these as most of our Step Four clubs start this weekend in Cup action.
