Pitching In Isthmian South East Supporters Predictions 26-27— Final Table
You’ve been reading their predictions- now here’s their final verdict!
For a few weeks you’ve been reading the reviews, previews and predictions of many of our supporters, across all four of our Divisions. You’ve also been seeing their predicted top fives, but what you may not have been aware of- if you’re new to the Pitching In Isthmian League, particularly- is that each of our participants picks not only the top five but an entire one to twenty two for their chosen Division. We take those predictions, add them all together, and then produce a predicted league table for each Division- and often it ends up printed out and stuck on a dressing room wall before three o’clock on a Saturday afternoon (yes, we’ve seen the photographic evidence!). Because of last weekend’s FA Cup action, we’ve held over Step Four until this week.
Next up we have our South East Division. This is what you think it will look like at the end of the season:
- AFC Croydon Athletic
- Faversham Town
- Sittingbourne
- Cray Valley PM
- Margate
- Herne Bay
- Merstham
- Ashford United
- Deal Town
- Sevenoaks Town
- Whitstable Town
- Hastings United
- Eastbourne Town
- Crowborough Athletic
- Broadbridge Heath
- Sheppey United
- Punjab United
- Steyning Town
- South Park Reigate
- Erith Town
- Peacehaven & Telscombe
- Horley Town
You decided that AFC Croydon Athletic and Faversham Town would have a two-handed tussle for the title, quite a long way clear of the chasing pack, with the South London Rams coming out on top- if only just! Sittingbourne will be having yet another Play off campaign, alongside Cray Valley PM, Margate and Herne Bay- whilst Merstham will squeeze into that last Play Off place with Ashford United and Deal Town just- indeed, only just- missing out.
Sevenoaks Town will come in tenth, just ahead of Whitstable Town, and your opinion was that the top eleven would be quite a long way clear of the rest- with the top half of the table batting to be included in the end of season party, the bottom half fighting against the drop. You believe that two of the newly promoted sides would make up the bottom two, with Erith Town and South Park Reigate also finding that their time was up- and we’ve no doubt that the quartet will be queuing up to prove you wrong!
This concludes our predicted tables- although we have a few more predictions still to publish, and you'll read those over the next few days. We’d like to thank all those who have taken part; your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Early next week we’ll have announcements about your favourite ground and your favourite food, too.
Now, time to stop guessing, and to start enjoying some actual football!
