Regent recruits
Kaya Donohoe, Tom Lawson, Dan Rowe and Shane Temple are the latest Brightlingsea Regent arrivals
Brightlingsea Regent have announced a quartet of new arrivals, with Kaya Donohoe, Tom Lawson, Dan Rowe and Shane Temple arriving at the Taydal.
Forward Shane Temple finished the last campaign at Grays Athletic, making twenty appearances and scoring twice. He started the season at Cambridge City, and will be remembered for scoring the first goal in their new stadium- one of three goals in twenty six games.
Shane played twenty eight times and scored four goals for Maldon & Tiptree during 23-24. He joined the Jammers in September 2023, making the move from Concord Rangers, where he had made three appearances.
He first came to our attention as a youth and then first team player for Braintree Town, before moving to AFC Sudbury between 2020 and 2022. He notably scored four goals in an FA Cup win for the Yellows against Harborough Town. He spent much of the 22-23 season at Basildon United, where he scored nine goals in twenty seven matches.
Dan Rowe spent last season at Little Oakley, reaching two cup finals. He has been at Little Oakley for a few seasons now, and indeed became one of the first names on the teamsheet, valued for both his goals and assists. Looking at a few videos, he tends not to score tap-ins, so if you are a North Division defender don't think you're safe is he has the ball thirty yards out!
Tom Lawson, a full back, spent last season winning the title at Brantham Athletic. He made his senior debut for Athletic in September 2020 and became a crucial part of their success. He is rather good with a dead ball, so opponents may need to spend time working on the placement of their wall when they concede a free kick.
Kaya Donohoe played Academy football for both Needham Market and Ipswich Town, before heading to the youth ranks at AFC Sudbury and becoming something of a success. He made his first team debut for the Yellows at the start of the 23-24 Pitching In Southern Premier season.
