Richards is back at Vale once more

Raynes Park Vale have announced a return for Tom Richards.

Tom originally joined Vale in the summer of 2024, moving from Horsham. He went on to play twenty seven times, before stepping away from the game to concentrate on work and family issues. 

Equally at home as a left back or a left winger, Tom joined Horsham in the summer of 2021, and played fifty one times that season. He went on to play thirty eight times during 22-23, and during the 23-24 season made forty two appearances- and scored a famous goal to earn the Hornets an FA Cup replay at Barnsley. 

He moved to the Hornets from Kingstonian. He was previously with Dorking Wanderers, where he was a big part of their Isthmian title winning campaign, playing forty four times and weighing in with ten crucial goals. He joined Wanderers from Leatherhead, where he was a crucial part of the squad which reached the Second Round of the FA Cup in 2017-18 and missed out on the playoffs only on goal difference. 

Tom previously played for AFC Wimbledon and Aldershot Town after coming through the Academy at Fulham.
