Rovers boss Shaw departs
Newly promoted Stanway Rovers see boss Jamie Shaw resign
Stanway Rovers, who earlier this month earned promotion to Step Three for the first time in their history, will need to commence their assault on our Premier Division with a new manager following the departure of boss Jamie Shaw.
In a statement released last night, the club explained:
‘Stanway Rovers has reluctantly accepted the resignation of manager Jamie Shaw, following an incredible three seasons which saw the club rise from Step Five to Step Three with successive promotions.’
You can read the entire statement below.
Rovers defeated Redbridge in the Pitching In Isthmian North Play Off Final, coming through via a penalty shootout. The 24-25 campaign saw them take the Essex Senior League title by two points ahead of Takeley, following a seventh place finish in 23-24.
Jamie was previously a player with Rovers, and you may also remember him from his time at AFC Sudbury, where he was club captain.
