Salako in Town
Michael Salako arrives at Faversham Town
Michael Salako returned to Kent prior to our transfer window closing for the season, signing for Faversham Town.
Michael has moved around quite a lot this season. Most recently he has been with Heybridge Swifts in our North Division, playing eleven times and scoring three goals. He joined Swifts from Canvey Island, where he played eight times, scoring once, and prior to that was at Sittingbourne, playing ten times and scoring twice.
He started the season with Cambridge City, where he moved from Herne Bay, and made seven appearances, scoring twice.
He had been with Bay for two seasons and had been very much their stand-out player. He scored twenty seven goals from thirty eight matches during 22-23, and last season, despite Bay's struggles, he managed twenty three goals from fifty four appearances.
Michael started the 22-23 season with Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Brightlingsea Regent, before moving on to Basildon United and Maldon & Tiptree.
Prior to his time with Regent Michael was with Stansted, but he was also an Isthmian player during the 2019-20 campaign, when he made a few appearances for Hullbridge Sports. He was with Tilbury during 2016-17 and 2017-18, and had a previous spell with the Jammers at the start of 2016-17. Away from the North Division, he spent time with Corinthian-Casuals during 2014-15, and apparently also played for Tooting & Mitcham United and Walton & Hersham. He was also with Bowers & Pitsea during their pre-Isthmian days.
