Shepherd Neame Performance of the Month, September 2025

Shepherd Neame Performance of the Month, September 2025

Here are our latest performance awards - as we celebrate a fabulous September

Our congratulations for some superb performances go to the following clubs:

Pitching In Isthmian Premier

Folkestone Invicta took up sixty percent of our nominations for this award, as we mulled over the merits of their victories against National League South sides Maidstone United and Horsham, and their Pitching In Isthmian Premier hammering of Aveley. To be fair, each of those wins would be worthy of the prize, but we went for the first one!

The Stripes- who are still not back in their own Alcaline Stadium, so are having a superb season without yet playing in their own home- rolled the Stones were rolled out of the FA Cup on Friday 12th September.  Donnell Thomas opened the scoring on thirty seven minutes, Ade Yusuff made it two just after the restart, and one thousand, two hundred and thirty five witnessed some stripy celebrations!

Pitching In Isthmian North

Walthamstow travelled to Witham Town on September 23rd, for an encounter which we expected to be closely fought- but as it turned out it was anything but close. Jordan Peart put Stow ahead as early as the fourth minute, and a quarter of an hour later Gassem Benelghazi made it two. The hosts then had skipper Ryan Mallett dismissed, and the visitors soon had a third, Rasheed Salau scoring just before the break.

Just after the break Stow made it four, Benelghazi once more, and the fifth came from Brian Garzon on the hour. There the scoring stopped, but let’s be honest, the visitors didn’t need any more, did they? Congrats to all at the club- we’ve got a trophy heading your way.

Pitching In Isthmian South Central

Our South Central winners only just qualify, as their victory arrived on the very last day of the month!

Hendon, six unbeaten and with an unbeaten season long home record, looked to extend both of those statistics as they hosted Fareham Town. The side in green went ahead on eighteen minutes, Dave Diedhiou with the opener, and were two up just three minutes later, Zak Joseph with that one. Town were five without a win, but were on the road for the first time since August 30th, and weren’t travelling well, their hosts going three up on thirty three minutes, Tobi Adaje the next to score. Keagan Cole made it four-nil just before the hour, and then, sixteen minutes from time, the visitors got one back, Charlie Cooper getting a consolation.

Seven minutes from time Tahjae Anderson added a fifth for Hendon- and there was still time for a sixth, Nikolai Krokhin up next, and a seventh, Sam Shaban adding to the scoreline in added time.

Congrats to Hendon not just on a magnificent victory, but on the trophy they’ll shortly be receiving from Shepherds Neame.

Pitching In Isthmian South East Division

Faversham Town made a trip to take on National League South side Maidenhead United in the FA Cup on Saturday September 13th, the Lilywhites hoping that their superb form so far would allow them to spring a surprise. The home fans will certainly have been rather taken aback when the visitors went ahead just before half time, but we were far less surprised to see that the scorer was Tashie-Jay Kwayie, as it was his eleventh of the campaign. Town had a long time to hold out, but hold out they did, claiming a famous victory- and now claiming our Performance of the Month prize. Many congratulations to the high-flying Lilywhites.
