Smith in Yella

Ascot United have announced that their new manager is Gavin Smith, most recently in charge at Badshot Lea. Gav replaces Jamie Tompkins, who departed the club earlier this month. 

Gav was in charge of Badshot Lea from December 2018, and steered the club to promotion from the Combined Counties Premier Division and then to eleventh place in their first Isthmian season. Sadly they weren't able to replicate that form last season, and finished the campaign at the bottom of the table. He departed the Baggies earlier this month.

As a player, he turned out for Tongham, Ashford Town, Bracknell Town, Fleet Town, and Godalming Town as well as the Baggies and the Yellas.
