South Central Supporters Predictions- how did you do?

Every summer we ask our supporters to answer questions about their club and to predict the final table, and every summer the outcome provokes debate amongst supporters and club officials alike. Often the predicted tables end up pinned to dressing room walls to use as motivation- we’ve seen the evidence- and, as you will see, on many occasions that seems to work!

Anyway, now that the dust has settled, it’s time to see how you did- with Pitching In Isthmian South Central up next.

Let’s start with the positives. Hanworth Villa did indeed win promotion- although not as you suggested, and you were nearly right with Leatherhead. You were also right with three of the bottom four, and indeed four of the bottom five. 

Here’s what you suggested would happen:

1. Hanworth Villa- the Villains went up via the Play Offs

2. Hayes & Yeading United- United underachieved when compared with your predictions, and probably when compared with their own, finishing ninth

3. Leatherhead- our champions- and by twelve points

4. Bognor Regis Town- finished in eleventh spot, although hampered by playing away from home for a long time whilst their pitch was laid

5. Southall- ended the campaign in promotion form but couldn’t quite make it, finishing sixth.

6. Kingstonian- had some goods moments and some rather dreadful ones, finishing thirteenth

7. Hendon- finished only two points away from the drop zone, which you- and probably they- didn’t expect

8. Raynes Park Vale- fourteenth, a thoroughly inconsistent campaign

9. Hartley Wintney- twelfth

10.AFC Portchester- the Royals had a fine season, finishing fifth

11.Westfield- did much better than you predicted, finishing second and reaching the Play Off Final

12.Moneyfields- again, you were some way out, the Moneys ending the campaign in fourth

13.Harrow Borough- a strong end to the campaign saw Borough up to eighth

14.Egham Town- the Sarnies adapted really well to Step Four, finishing seventh

15.Ascot United- you were nearly right, sixteenth, after a fine end to the season

16.Bedfont Sports- again, nearly right, fifteenth

17.South Park Reigate- the Sparks ended up in tenth

18.Fareham Town- you expected that Fareham would survive, but sadly they ended the campaign in last place

19.Horndean- relegated, as you predicted, albeit in twenty first

20.Binfield- eighteenth, survival once more for the Moles

21.Met Police- finished one place better than you thought, although the outcome was the same

22.Littlehampton Town= nineteenth, but you were right about the Golds relegation
