Tanners go four clear- whilst Hendon score seven!

Leatherhead increase their lead, Hendon hammer Fareham, Westfield hit four, and Egham win on the road

Leaders Leatherhead travelled to Binfield hoping to at least hold onto their two point lead at the top, but they fell behind on nineteen minutes, Amari Fashanu opening the scoring. The Tanners were only behind for seven minutes before Nathan Hogan levelled, his seventh goal of the season, and they were given another boost when the hosts had Levi Helot dismissed. Hogan quickly scored a second from the spot.

Five minutes after half time it was three-one to the visitors, Jacob Breckon with that one, but the Moles brought it back to two-three fifteen minutes from time, Nathanael Boakye setting up a tense finish. Leatherhead, however, held onto what they had to go four points clear at the top.

Second place Raynes Park Vale had the tough challenge of defeating Bedfont Sports at the end of the runway if they wanted a chance of taking over at the top. The first half looked to be ending goalless, and then Tyler Cox decided otherwise, putting the visitors ahead in its last minute. Sports chances looked to have gone when Lewis Flatman saw red four minutes from time- the substitute had only been on the field for fourteen minutes- but the ten men levelled right at the end, Trisdon Andrews earning them a point. Vale stay second, but the gap between themselves and Leatherhead is now four points, the Tanners with a game in hand.

Hanworth Villa had been in excellent form, and were looking for a fifth consecutive win as they welcomed Egham Town- but it was the Sarnies who made the breakthrough, Reece York putting the visitors ahead on fourteen minutes. Try as they might there was no way back for the Villains. Image- Nick Taylor.

Hendon, six unbeaten and with an unbeaten season long home record, looked to extend both of those statistics as they hosted Fareham Town. The side in green went ahead on eighteen minutes, Dave Diedhiou with the opener, and were two up just three minutes later, Zak Joseph with that one. Town were five without a win, but were on the road for the first time since August 30th, and weren’t travelling well, their hosts going three up on thirty three minutes, Tobi Adaje with that one. Keagan Cole made it four-nil just before the hour, and then, sixteen minutes from time, the visitors got one back, Charlie Cooper getting a consolation. Seven minutes from time Tahjae Anderson added a fifth for Hendon, and there was still time for a sixth, Nikolai Krokhin with that one, and a seventh, Sam Shaban adding to the scoreline in added time.

Harrow Borough have developed a severe case of travel sickness, and headed to Westfield hoping to avoid a fourth consecutive away defeat. Their hopes didn’t look positive when first Tom Dryer and then Billy Nutbeam scored for the Woking side, but the visitors were quickly back in the match, Will Bailey halving the deficit. Three minutes into the second half Field had a third, Kyle Bailey with it, and eight minutes later Manolis Gogonas got a fourth from the spot. The goals stopped there, mercifully for the visitors.

South Park Reigate had the unenviable task of trying to stop Three Bridges, their visitors scoring goals for fun of late. Bridges went ahead on fourteen minutes, Reece Hallard the scorer, but the Sparks drew level from the spot just before the break, Jack Tucker with the equaliser. The referee pointed at the spot once more on minute into the second half, this one for Bridges, Ben Holden tucking it away- and four minutes later the visitors had another spot kick, with an identical outcome, to go three-one up. On the hour we had a goal that wasn’t from the spot, Callum Mcallister bringing it back to two-three for the Sparks, but nine minutes later Destiny Ojo got a fourth for the visitors to seal the win.
