Leaders Leatherhead had the chance to quickly bounce back from defeat on Saturday- and they did just that, extending their lead to five points by scoring five goals against visitors Southall.

The Tanners soared into a two goal lead early on, Mehmet Halim on twelve minutes and Jordan Gallagher two minutes later surely making them comfortable- but perhaps they were too comfortable too soon, as Brandon Harriman-Annous quickly hit back for the visitors, his goals coming on sixteen and eighteen minutes. The match remained poised until seventeen minutes from time, when Halim struck again for the hosts- and in added time they made victory rather more comfortable, Kelvin Massango and Logan Coles adding goals number four and five.

Westfield are five points behind the Tanners, albeit with a game in hand.

Third place Moneyfields had what looked like a tricky trip to fifth place Hartley Wintney, but as it turned out it wasn’t tricky at all, and they had the points wrapped up by half time. Tayo Singerr was the chief architect of victory, scoring on six and thirty four minutes, his tenth and eleventh goals of the season coming in only his fifteenth match, and two minutes before half time Simba Mlambo added a third.

That was that, the Moneys remaining third, but opening up a seven point gap over their hosts, eight points betwen themselves and sixth place Hayes.

Bedfont Sports were eight matches without a win as they entertained sixth place Hayes and Yeading United, but that run didn’t extend to nine, the hosts winning comfortably.

Jude Jakes-Mckay put Sports ahead from the spot on seventeen minutes, and just before the break Joe Smith made it two. United’s chance of a comeback departed fourteen minutes from time, Jake Woods making it three-nil- and ensuring that his side climbed out of the bottom four.

United are sixth, and have taken one point from their last four matches.

Binfield have been rather successful in the Velocity Cup over the last few years, and the Moles triumphed in an all-South central Fourth Round tie at Ascot United. They went ahead just before the break, Amari Fashanu striking from the spot, and early in the second half Kickie Dzimba made it two. The Yellas hit back just before the hour, Luis Le Paih giving them hope, but that hope was extinguished when Dzimba added a third for the Moles on sixty seven minutes, and Binfield are in the last eight.
