Three more in Grays

As we approached the weekend, Grays Athletic added three more names to their squad.

Michael Bareck came through the youth ranks at Ipswich Town, spent some time with Southend Manor, and, towards the end of the 21-22 season, with Athletic Newham in the Essex Senior League. He stared the 22-23 season with Bowers and Pitsea, where he played sixteen times and scored three goals, and then moved on to Witham, where he played fourteen times and scored five goals. He started the 23-24 season with AFC Sudbury, these days in Pitching In Southern Premier, before moving on to Basildon United, playing eight times and scoring twice, and then to Walthamstow, ten appearances and one goal. 

He joined Ipswich Wanderers in September last year, making thirteen appearances and scoring four goals before a move to Dulwich Hamlet, Michael comes in from Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Dulwich Hamlet, where he played only twice before heading to Witham to end the campaign. He started this season at Cambridge City, playing eight times and scoring once.

Defender Ainsley Frempong also heads to Athletic after starting the summer at Cambridge City, although he doesn't seem to have played at all. Ainsley ended last season at Sporting Bengal United, making a couple of appearances, and previously played in Essex for Barking and Buckhurst Hill. In a rather more westerly direction he turned out for Weymouth and Dorchester Town at Under 23 level. 

Jack Stone, a forward who recently signed a professional deal with Southend United, comes in on loan. Jack ended last season on loan at Maldon and Tiptree, although he came in so late he only got to play twice. He also had a loan spell at Heybridge Swifts last season, playing seven times and scoring four goals- although all of the goals came in the Essex County Cup.  He also had a loan spell at Essex Senior League side Stansted, playing six times and scoring once, and scored for fun with the Shrimpers Under 19 side.
