Three new Wasps

Luke Leppard, Curtis Gayler and Tom Unsworth are the latest East Grinstead recruits

East Grinstead Town brought in three new arrivals prior to Saturday's fixtures, Luke Leppard, Curtis Gayler and Tom Unsworth signing on.

Luke, a midfielder, you'll perhaps remember from his spells with Three Bridges, Ashford United, Greenwich Borough and Sevenoaks Town, and of course more recently with Erith Town, where he made twenty eight appearances last season and another six this season. He has also played for Phoenix Sports, Larkfield & New Hythe and Tunbridge Wells.

Curtis Gayler came through the ranks at Burgess Hill Town, before swapping Mid Sussex for the seaside with moves to Worthing and Whitehawk. A spell at Lewes followed before a return to Hill, eight appearances during the first half of the 16-17 campaign, and a move to Horsham followed, where he made twenty appearances during 17-18 before heading to Three Bridges, making thirty three appearances and scoring nine goals during 22-23. He got nine goals- in thirty eight appearances- during the previous campaign, after playing a full part in the two pandemic hit seasons.

He was back at Burgess Hill during 23-24, and also spent time with Shoreham. More recently he has been with Forest Row.

Tom Unsworth, a full back, has most recently been with Beaconsfield Town. He started last season at Cheshunt and then spent time with North Leigh and Marlow and, briefly, Whitehawk.

He spent the closing stages of the 23-24 season at Kingstonian, making eleven appearances after joining the club from St Albans City. He has previously played for Risborough Rangers, Colney Heath, Biggleswade, Kings Langley and Wantage Town.
