Title-winning manager commits to Leatherhead
Isthmian South Central champions Leatherhead have announced that manager Ian Selley has agreed a new deal to remain with the club for next season.
Selley took charge in May 2024, having previously taken former club Westfield to the play-offs.
He led the Tanners to an eighth-place finish during his first season in the role, before going on to guide the club back to Step 3 in impressive fashion this term.
They have lost just six of their 42 league games, scoring a league-high 102 goals during their title charge, and a 2-0 victory over Bedfont Sports on the final day saw them end the season 12 points clear.
Leatherhead say the new deal will provide "stability and a clear platform to build on this season’s success" as they prepare for life back at Step 3.
“This group has shown incredible character all season, and I’m proud to lead them into Step 3," Selley said.
"The togetherness around the entire club has been unbelievable this season. We want to keep that spirit going and push the club forward again.”
Leatherhead chairman John Dean said: “Ian has played a huge part in moving the club forward this season. Leatherhead is at its best when everyone pulls in the same direction, and he understands exactly what this place means to people.
"We’re a big family, right at the heart of the community, and keeping that continuity is vital as we head back into Step 3.”
