Toby swaps the Millers for Leafe- and Francis swaps Leafe for the Millers!
Toby Aromolaran is a new signing for AFC Whyteleafe from Aveley- and Francis Mampolo goes the other way!
AFC Whyteleafe have announced the arrival of Toby Aromolaran, who moves across the QEII Bridge from Pitching In Isthmian Premier rivals Aveley, whilst Francis Mampolo has made the opposite journey, leaving Leafe for the Millers.
Toby has been a Miller since January this year, his twenty three appearances last season bringing seven goals- and he has already managed nine more goals this season. He joined Aveley from former tenants Hashtag United.
Toby became something of a legend at the Tags. He first joined the club in 21-22, scoring twice in twenty two appearances, and followed that with forty matches and ten appearances during 22-23, helping them to promotion. He got eight goals in twenty four appearances as the Tags adapted well to top flight life in 23-24, as well as reaching the Velocity Cup Final, and played forty four times with ten goals during 24-25, with twelve more appearances last season.
After playing youth football for Thurrock Toby joined Tilbury, and he went on to play for Basildon United, Witham Town and Cheshunt, as well as a short stint at Coalville Town and another spell at the Dockers.
He is also known for his television appearances on Love Island and various spin offs.
Francis joined Leafe in the summer, and has made eight League appearances so far.
You'll perhaps remember Francis, a winger, from his time at Dover Athletic. He made thirty seven appearances, scoring once, as Athletic won Pitching In Isthmian Premier promotion- via the Play Offs- in 24-25, although has more recently been turning out for Dover's National League South rivals Tonbridge Angels.
He ended the 23-24 season at Premier Division promotion chasers Chatham Town, playing four times and scoring twice whilst on loan from an earlier spell with Angels. Francis also spent time on a dual registration deal with Folkestone Invicta, playing twice, and also had a dual-reg spell with Margate, also playing twice. Mainly, however, he appeared in the Blue of Angels, and made twenty four appearances.
He started the 23-24 season at Maldon and Tiptree in Pitching In Isthmian North, playing five times. He has also turned out for Westfield and for Biggleswade Town.
