Twelve unbeaten for the Greens as they beat- and move above- City
Gorleston win a tight match in Yarmouth to climb into the top ten
Gorleston and Cambridge City, both in good form, met in Great Yarmouth. The Greens were hoping for a fourth win in a row and were unbeaten in eleven matches, whilst City had lost only one of ten, although a collection of recent draws had slowed their progress a little. City were awarded a spot kick on twenty minutes and Jayden Gipson put it away, but the Greens took only three minutes to draw level, Harley Black scoring for the third time this season- this one a fine free kick from distance. Seven minutes into the second half the Greens were ahead for the first time, Abby Matthews taking his tally for the campaign to six, and try as they might- and City are good at scoring late goals- there was no way back.
The Greens are at home again on Saturday, Concord Rangers making the trip, whilst City travel to Tilbury to face Grays.
