Vita Risk Solutions: Manager of the Month Award, April 2025

Here are our latest collection of Vita Risk Solutions Managers of the Month of 2025- a quartet of very deserved winners. 

Premier Division

Horsham boss Dom Di Paola had surprisingly not won this award this season- but we suspect he’s rather pleased that his team saved their best for the last month! April saw the Hornets defeat Canvey Island, Cray Wanderers and Hashtag United on their own patch, Carshalton Athletic and Bognor Regis Town on the road, and- of course- take the title as a result. If ever there was a time to deliver a one hundred percent record, it was April- and it’s earned Dom and his charges another trophy to go with the rather larger one they’ve already got. 

Congrats once more to Dom and his Hornets- and of course they’ve the chance of another Trophy next week as they take on Littlehampton Town in the Sussex Senior Cup Final at The Amex. 

North Division

Grays Athletic have ended the season performing like champions- with a run of twelve unbeaten matches, including ten victories. April- because of course we’re looking only at the last month- saw Darren Manning’s side defeat Play Off chasing Brightlingsea Regent and Felixstowe and Walton United, draw with sixth place Tilbury, and make East London miserable by defeating Redbridge and Sporting Bengal United. 

A fabulous climax to the campaign, and one which has earned Darren a deserved accolade. Congrats go to Darren, and indeed to all at the club, who must be amongst the favourites for promotion next season. 

South Central Division

Show me the Moneys- again! We’re off to Portsmouth for the second month in a row, and we’re presenting to Moneyfields manager Glenn Turnbull for the third time in four months- he picked up January and March’s awards too. The Moneys had a fine season, and a fine end to their season, April seeing them defeat Binfield, Ashford Town, Raynes Park Vale and Rayners Lane (in a crazy six-five match last weekend), as well as draw at Horndean. That left them in seventh place, only two points away from the play offs.

Congrats to Glenn, again- and the best of luck to him as he steps upstairs. Whoever takes over as manager has big shoes to fill! 

South East Division

Steve King is the real deal this month, the Deal Town boss taking this award by the slimmest of margins after a fine end to the season for his charges. Deal’s April saw them hammer Steyning Town, Herne Bay and Broadbridge Heath, defeat East Grinstead Town a little more narrowly, and blot their copybook slightly with a defeat against Burgess Hill Town; and eventually they beat off the challenge of their closest rivals for this award only on games won after tying on points per game and goal difference! All of that said, Deal’s end to the campaign has been superb, with seven wins from their last eight matches, and they’ve been a fine addition to our League. They eventually ended the campaign in seventh place, and we suspect that they might do even better next season.
