Vita Risk Solutions Managers of the Season

At our Annual Presentation Evening on Saturday, and in conjunction with our marvellous sponsors Vita Risk Solutions, we honoured our Managers of the Season. There were no surprises that the awards were won by the fine fellows leading our four champions, but we'd like to remind you just how good they were!

Horsham boss Dom Di Paola has created the most successful Hornets side in history, and has now taken his side from Step Five to Step Two by winning our title. Last season saw the Hornets clinch promotion by winning twenty eight of their forty two matches and finishing with a goal difference of +42, one better than second place Billericay Town, and it was just as well as the two sides were level on points! It also saw them win the Sussex Senior Cup for the second season in succession, reach the First Round of the FA Cup,  and the Third Round of the FA Trophy. Congrats to Dom on being named our Vita Risk Solutions Premier Division Manager of the Year- and the very best of luck in National League South next season. 

Brentwood Town bounced back from the heartbreak of a second Promotion Final penalty shootout defeat in three seasons at the end of 23-24 to win Pitching In Isthmian North by four points- no more knockout heartbreak and a thoroughly deserved title trophy under the guidance of boss Keith Rowland. The Blues had a superb campaign, wining twenty eight of their forty two matches and, away from the league, delivering some life-long memories in the FA Trophy, too, particularly a victory in front of one and a half thousand fans at Hereford's Edgar Street and a narrow defeat in a home derby against Southend United in the next round. Congrats to Keith on being named our Vita Risk Solutions North Division Manager of the Year- and the very best of luck in our Premier Division next season.

Farnham Town celebrated their 23-24 promotion to our level and immediately set their sights on winning another- and they did exactly that, under the guidance of Paul Johnson. Town spent the vast majority of the season holding firmly onto the summit, and eventually won the title by twenty points, racking up one hundred and two points, scoring one hundred and twenty goals, and ending the campaign with a rather incredible goal difference of +88! Paul's charges lost only four times all season, and had the title secured before March had ended. Congrats to Paul on being named our Vita Risk Solutions South Central Division Manager of the Year- and the very best of luck in the Southern Premier Division next season.

Ramsgate left the pain of Play Off struggles firmly behind them and, after a two headed battle of the titans with Sittingbourne, eventually stormed clear of the Brickies in the closing stages to take our Pitching In Isthmian South East title by eight points. The Rams were simply untouchable for much of the campaign, and, guided by boss Ben Smith, were almost always favourites for the title, scoring an incredible one hundred and twenty seven goals and losing only three times all season. Ben has steered the Rams to many notable triumphs in his time in charge, but this will be the sweetest so far, and we've no doubt that there are more to come. Many congratulations to Ben on being named our Vita Risk Solutions South East Division Manager of the Year- and the very best of luck in our Premier Division next season.
