Walsh swaps seasides

From Margate to Hastings for Max Walsh
Hastings United prepared for the weekend by strengthening their midfield, Max Walsh coming in from Pitching In Isthmian South East rivals Margate.
Max moved to Margate in October 2024. He went on to make thirty five appearances last season, as Gate reached the Play Offs, and has played thirty two times this season, scoring three goals.
He joined Gate from divisional rivals Ashford United, where he had made twelve appearances and scored four goals last season, following fifteen appearances during 23-24. He joined the Nuts and Bolts in February 2024, making the move from East Grinstead Town, where he had been perhaps the stand out performer, coming to the attention of United when he scored four goals against them in a six nil victory! Those four goals were amongst nine he scored for the Wasps during 23-24, in twenty nine appearances.
He made his Town debut in February 22, and made thirteen appearances as that season came to an end, followed by forty three during the 22-23 campaign. He joined the Wasps from Bexhill United, but he hadn't been there long, as he started the 21-22 campaign at Sevenoaks Town, making fifteen appearances. He was previously with AFC Uckfield Town, and with Hastings United- so this is something of a return to Pilot Field.
