Whyteleafe go West
Devonte West swaps the Stripes for Leafe
AFC Whyteleafe have strengthened their squad with the signing of Devonte West, who moves inland from our champions- these days in National League South- Folkestone Invicta.
Devonte, a forward, was a big success in our top flight last season- his first at Step Three. He signed for Lewes in the summer of 2025 and went on to play forty one times and score ten goals, becoming a big favourite of the Dripping Pan faithful; indeed he was Players’ Player, Fans’ Player and Supporters’ Club Player of the Season for 25-26. That earned him another step up with the Stripes in the summer, and he has played ten times at Step Two.
He joined the Rooks from SCEFL side Hollands & Blair, where he made thirty three appearances during the 24-25 season and scored five goals. That was his second season with the club, after time at Bearstead.
