Yellas boss departs

Jamie Tompkins departs Ascot United after record-breaking season
Ascot United have announced the departure of manager Jamie Tompkins and his management team.
Jamie has had an incredibly successful run in charge of the Yellas. During his tenure they have won the FA Vase at Wembley, won the Combined Counties Premier, lifted the Hellenic League Cup, established themselves at Step Four, and- of course, last season stormed to fourth place in Pitching In Isthmian South Central prior to a narrow defeat in the Play Off Semi-Final.
A club statement explained:
'Ascot United FC can confirm that, after seven memorable years, Jamie Tompkins and his management team will be stepping down from their roles with the First Team by mutual consent.
Jamie and his team have been integral to an extraordinary chapter in the club’s history, leading the team in 337 matches and delivering unforgettable achievements along the way.
Everyone at Ascot United would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Jamie and his team for their dedication, leadership, and the countless memories they have given us.
We wish them all the very best for the future.
The process to appoint a new First Team Management team will begin shortly.'
