A Cheshunt Collective

Matthias Fanimo and Reon Smith-Kouassi are the latest Ambers
In the run up to our big kick off last weekend, Cheshunt announced two new arrivals- who emerged from the bench to play a part in their opening day hammering of Welling United.
Matthias Fanimo and Reon Smith-Kouassi are the new Ambers.
Winger Matthias spent his early years with West Ham United, and even made the first team before departing East London. He spent time with Bishop's Stortford, Eastleigh, Margate and Hornchurch before heading to Europe, where he played for a number of years for Drava Ptuj and Koper in Slovenia, Mladost Doboj Kakanj and Sarajevo in Bosnia Herzegovina, and Slaven Belupo in Croatia, before returning to the UK to play for Ebbsfleet United during the 23-24 season. Last season he went to Folkestone Invicta, where he played thirty five times and scored three goals.
He has played for England at Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 level.
Reon, a forward, has been playing Under 18 football for Leyton Orient, and spent a little time in our Premier Division last season, playing once whilst on loan at Potters Bar Town and twelve times- with one goal- for Bowers and Pitsea. He also had a North Division loan with Basildon United, and another at Grays Athletic, playing ten times with two goals.
He certainly put in the miles last season, as he also spent time with Hitchin Town in Pitching In Southern Premier Central.
He will be familiar to Canvey Island fans, too, as he played nine times for the Gulls during the 23-24 season.
He left Orient in the summer.
