A fabulous feast of Friday night football!

We’ve a big Premier Essex derby- which incidentally you can stream from home- and Wands v Hawks, both this evening
Rather unusually we have a double helping of Friday night football this evening, with Aveley taking on Billericay Town and Cray Wanderers at home to Whitehawk, both matches at 7.45 PM.
Aveley are unbeaten in the League since Monday 15th September- that’s ten matches- and start the weekend in sixth place. The Millers are a point outside the top five, and seventeen points behind the leaders, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. They have four games in hand over fifth place Cray Wanderers, fourth place Dartford and second place Brentwood Town, and two games in hand over third place Chatham Town and our leaders, Folkestone Invicta- the Stripes the last side to defeat them- so are in fine shape as they welcome Billericay Town.
Aveley have actually been better on the road than on Parkside- indeed they remain unbeaten on their travels. What relevance that has to tonight’s clash may be debated, as Billericay have struggled on the road, difficult to defeat- three losses from nine- but with only one away win. The travelling Blues are in good shape, with only two defeats from ten, but go into the match in eleventh place, five points behind their hosts.
The match can be streamed live on Clubber TV- and you can make those arrangements by heading HERE.
Fifth place Cray Wanderers have drawn more matches than any other side in the entire league- eleven out of twenty one played- which demonstrates why, although they have won only two of their last ten, they have also only lost two of their last ten! Wands did win last time out, however, a two-nil win at Potters Bar Town last weekend, and another victory would take them up to fourth. The travelling Hawks are down in fifteenth, four points above the drop zone, and have taken only one point from their last four matches. They do have a fairly good record against their hosts, however, undefeated during four matches over the last two seasons, although their last two trips to take on Wands at Hayes Lane/Flamingo Park both ended level.
