A new Blue duo
Ansu Janneh and Cameron Forde-Brown reinforce Brentwood Town
Brentwood announced two new arrivals prior to the weekend's fixtures, with Ansu Janneh and Cameron Forde-Brown moving into Town.
Ansu, a midfielder, was with Lewes last season, playing nine times over two spells. He also played for Tonbridge Angels and Slough Town, after starting the campaign with Carshalton Athletic, where he made half a dozen appearances.
He was Billericay Town's first signing of the 24-25 season, after finishing the 23-24 campaign at Hastings. He made twenty three appearances, and scored once- on his debut in victory against Whitehawk- before heading back to Hastings on loan, and playing five more times.
Ansu originally joined Hastings as a loanee from National League South side Tonbridge Angels, and made twelve appearances- the last of them in Sussex Senior Cup Final defeat against Horsham. He has previous Pitching In Isthmian Premier experience with Wingate and Finchley, for whom he signed on loan from Dagenham and Redbridge in December 2022 and played six times, with one goal. He played seven times for Lancing during their first Isthmian season, and has also previously spent a little time at Pilot Field. He joined Angels in October 2023, moving to Kent from Havant and Waterlooville, and has also spent a little time at Braintree Town.
Cameron is a player you'll perhaps remember from his time with Felixstowe and Walton United- but he makes this move on loan from Hemel Hempstead Town. He made thirty eight Seasiders appearances during 24-24, and also spent time with Kings Lynn Town last season, scoring ten goals. He moved to Hemel in the summer.
He came through the ranks at Southend United, and the 21-22 season saw him spend some time on loan at AFC Sudbury, where he made eight appearances, scoring in the first one. The 22-23 season saw him play three times at Coggeshall Town, and also turn out for Marlow. During the 23-24 season he also spent some loan time in the Pitching In Isthmian North Division, with Ipswich Wanderers, a spell which saw six appearances and one goal.
