Bates the new man at Carshalton

Carshalton Athletic have appointed Steven Bates as their new manager. Steven replaces Peter Adeniyi, whose departure was announced yesterday.

The new man has most recently been coaching at National League side Wealdstone. The UEFA B licenced coach, who has more than twenty years coaching experience,  was previously Assistant Manager at Hampton and Richmond Borough; where he also had a spell as Caretaker Manager, as well as heading up the Academy- a post which, so far as we can see, he still holds.

This seems to be his first permanent spell as a first team manager, and it starts on Saturday, when the Robins are at home to eighth place Ramsgate.
