Chats in the Final again- and Chichester go sixth

Chatham Town will defend their Velocity Cup, Chichester City make it three wins in a row, Wingate increase Hastings worries, and Hamlet win on the road
Hastings United, seven points from safety with only one game in hand, played that game in hand as they welcomed Wingate and Finchley, three points a must. They faced visitors in fine form, five unbeaten matches having brought thirteen points, the latest three in Sussex at Horsham on Saturday- and the Blues were ahead in this one, too, Zack Newton scoring midway through the first half. Try as they might the hosts couldn’t find any way back, and their fate was sealed when Ore Bello made it two-nil in added time at the end of the second half. Wingate are ninth, nine points from the play offs, whilst United remain seven points from safety.
Potters Bar Town welcomed Dulwich Hamlet, the visitors particularly keen on picking up three points after seemingly having victory in their grasp at Hashtag United on Saturday only to leave with a draw. Hamlet went ahead on eleven minutes, David Bremang scoring his fourth goal in eight matches, and that turned out to be that, the visitors putting nine points between themselves and the bottom four.
Folkestone Invicta, who parted company with manager Andy Drury at the weekend, welcomed a Chichester City side who had closed to within five points of the top five and who defeated leaders Billericay Town on Saturday. City had a fine start, Ethan Pritchard taking his total for the season into double figures on- appropriately- ten minutes, and within seven minutes the shellshocked hosts had conceded two more, Jimmy Wild scoring his twenty eighth and twenty ninth of the campaign. Five minutes before half time Invicta gave themselves hope, Joe Turner getting a goal back, but that hope mostly departed a few minutes later when Nathan Green picked up a red card and left them to play the entire second half with ten men. There were no further goals, and City are up to sixth, only two points behind fifth place Dover- and four points behind the other side promoted from Pitching In isthmian South East last season, Cray Valley PM, who are fourth.
Velocity Cup
Holders Chatham Town hosted Hendon in the Velocity Cup Semi-Final, the Greens taking a break from their league woes and hoping to deliver a shock, Billericay Town waiting the victors in the Final. The Chats made the breakthrough nine minutes before half time, Sam Sene Richardson the scorer, but within three minutes had conceded a spot kick which Niko Muir converted to equalise. Just after the hour Town were ahead once more, Richardson again the scorer, and this time it was to prove a winner. Sam now has seven goals this season- and a man of the match award, as you can see!
