Clarke whizzes back to the Rooks

Lewes have announced a return to the club for Billie Clark.

Billie joined the Rooks in the summer of 2025, from Whitehawk, and made thirteen appearances before departing for Eastbourne Town. He managed nine appearances by the seaside, and scored an impressive five goals. 

Billie broke into the Whitehawk first team during the first half of the 21-22 season, making fourteen appearances and scoring twice, and he soon came to the notice of their rather bigger neighbours, Brighton and Hove Albion, where he went on to play for the Under 18 and Under 21 sides. He left the Amex for a season at Reading, where he played for the Royals Under 21 side, and rejoined the Hawks in the summer of 2024, playing only once. He then played sixteen times for Chichester City, before a move to Bognor Regis Town which brought five appearances, and then returned to Whitehawk in February 2024, playing ten more times and scoring once.
