Cue and Bello 'new' in Blue
Alfie Cue and Ore Bello arrive- and return- to Wingate and Finchley
Wingate and Finchley's latest announcements concern Alfie Cue and Ore Bello.
Forward Alfie comes in from Hashtag United. Alfie first came to prominence at Dartford. He left the Darts to move to Hitchin Town in January 2019, but remained there only until the end of that season as he found the travelling from his home in South London rather too much. He ended up at Hertford Town and managed to score seven goals in eleven appearances. In between Hitchin and Hertford he managed a handful of matches for VCD Athletic- and will also be remembered by Leatherhead fans, as he spent some time on loan there whilst a Dart. He moved on to play for East Thurrock United, and then played for Wingate and Finchley, Cheshunt and Concord Rangers before joining the Tags. He made fourteen Tags appearances with four goals during 23-24, and spent some time on loan at Sutton Common Rovers last season, playing four times. Injury has greatly hampered his last two seasons.
Ore, or Oreofe if we're being more formal, played for a number of our clubs last season. He joined Chatham Town in October 2024 from Potters Bar Town, and made seven Chats appearances before a loan move to Bowers and Pitsea, where he played three times. He moved onto Wingate and played eighteen times with five goals before joining Hemel Hempstead Town in the summer.
He joined Potters Bar in October 2023 and was a big success, marauding down the wing and and scoring twelve goals in the process, playing thirty six times. He made another seven appearances last season.
He previously made eight appearances for Carshalton Athletic at the tail end of the 21-22 campaign, scoring twice- after graduating from the Robins youth setup. He also spent time at Merstham during the 22-23 season, where he played fourteen times and scored once. He moved to Dover Athletic in the summer of 2023, but was there a relatively short time before becoming a Scholar.
