Double Ambers
Jakai Bascoe-Fisher and Rio Davidson-Phipps reinforce Cheshunt
Cheshunt announced a pair of new arrivals before they took on Burgess Hill Town on Saturday, and both Jakai Bascoe-Fisher and Rio Davidson-Phipps made debuts from the bench.
Defender Rio was with Hastings United last season, playing six times, and at Sittingbourne, playing six more times.
Earlier in his career Rio came through the Barnet Academy before joining Carshalton Athletic, and also spent some time with Whyteleafe, as well as playing for a while at Croydon. Whilst at Carshalton he spent a short time at Greenwich Borough on loan. Sutton Common Rovers was another of his stops, and he played for Walton Casuals before joining Bishop's Stortford at the start of the 21-22 campaign. He has also had very brief periods with Haringey Borough and Herne Bay.
He played in Scotland, for Cove Rangers, and then headed our way once more, with Canvey Island, before a spell with Margate.
Early in the 24-25 season he made half a dozen appearances for Erith Town before stepping up to play for Braintree Town. He left the Iron for Weymouth, and joined Sittingbourne in the summer of 2025.
Forward Jakai came through the ranks at Arsenal. He played for the youth sides- starting as an Under 12- and the Under 18's at the Emirates, and last season spent some time with Haringey Borough, playing fifteen times and scoring once as they charged to the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division title.
