Double Borough
Nathan Laleye and Jack West-Astuti join Eastbourne Borough
Eastbourne Borough announced two new arrivals prior to their County Cup win in midweek, Nathan Laleye and Jack West-Astuti joining the club.
Goalkeeper Jack, who is from Australia, played in his homeland before a few years between the sticks in Italy, and first came our way in 2020 with Chelmsford City. During the 24-25 season he apparently spent time with Dartford, and also with Haringey Borough, playing sixteen times between November and February. He was also with Aveley during 24-25, spent a little time at Walton & Hersham, and played thirteen times for Hythe Town during 23-24.
He started last season at Welling United, but doesn't seem to be amongst the seventy players who appeared for the Wings during 25-26, and then he spent time at South Park Reigate, playing once, before moving on to Tonbridge Angels, playing twice.
Nathan doesn't seem to have been our way before. The winger has been plying his trade in Portugal, where he has turned out for GS Loures at Under seventeen level, UD Vilafranquense as an Under 19, SU Sintrense, Belenenses and Estoril at B team level, and Clube Oriental de Lisboa.
