FA Cup round-up | Isthmian duo in the draw for first round proper
Cray Wanderers and Leatherhead will be in tomorrow's FA Cup first round draw after taking their respective opponents to a replay in fourth round qualifying.
One of the games of the weekend involved Leatherhead, who were minutes away from stunning National League side Yeovil Town before being held to a 3-3 draw.
Yeovil took the lead shortly after half-time, and despite missing a penalty soon after, did go on to make it 2-0 just before the hour mark.
However, in the space of eight second-half minutes, the Tanners turned the game on its head.
Louie Paget headed home to pull a goal back for Leatherhead, before Mark Waters' far-post finish drew the sides level.
Waters scored his second soon after, producing a fine finish into the far corner to make it 3-2, but their National League opponents netted an 89th minute leveller to take the tie to a replay in Somerset.
Also ensuring their place in the first round draw were Cray, who held Bedford Town to a goalless draw.
Facing National League North opposition, the Wands defended resolutely and thought they'd won it six minutes from time, only for Ade Yusuff's ricochet into the back of the net to be chalked off.
Unfortunately, Saturday saw the end of Brentwood Town's latest cup adventure as they fell to a 3-2 defeat at National League Eastleigh.
Having caused a major cup upset to knock out Dagenham & Redbridge in the previous round, lightning couldn't strike twice for the Blues.
Despite scoring two goals in the opening 10 minutes, Eastleigh drew themselves back on level terms with finishes either side of half-time.
The all-important fifth goal came midway through the second half, Aaron Blair proving to be the match-winner for the Spitfires.
It was an equally tough afternoon against higher-ranked opposition for Eastbourne Borough, who were beaten 3-0 by Salisbury of the National League South.
Three goals in the space of 11 second-half minutes proved decisive as the Whites booked their spot in the first round proper for the first time in the club's history.
The draw for the next round will be made at around 6:30pm on Monday. It will be shown live on TNT Sports 1, HBO Max, and on the TNT Sports YouTube channel.
