Four more Gulls

Canvey Island bring in a quartet, as Tyler Forbes, Callum Morris, Jed Brown-Johnson and Olu Shobowale become Gulls

Canvey Island have announced a quartet of new arrivals.

Tyler Forbes, a right back/right winger, ended last season at Witham Town, where he made fourteen appearances. As a youngster he played for Heybridge Swifts and Maldon & Tiptree, and then he moved on to play for Poole Town and Weymouth. He also plays international football for the British Virgin Islands.

Callum Morris, who can play at centre back or in central midfield, played for Northwood last season, and has previously been with North Leigh and Corinthian-Casuals. He also spent a little time with Cheshunt last season, but so far as we can see played only once, in a rather remarkable seven-four County Cup win over Ware.

Jed Brown-Johnson, a midfielder, spent last season with Hertford Town. He was previously with Leverstock Green and Welwyn Garden City, and has also spent time with Crawley Town and Wealdstone.

Olu Shobowale, a defender, made a handful of Essex Senior League appearances for Frenford last season, and three for Barking, on loan from his parent club Southend United. He was also noted as making a dual registration move to Basildon United, but we have no record of him ever making a debut for the Bees. He played youth football not only for Southend but also for Barnet, and also played one match, so far as we can see, for Clacton during 23-24.
