Brad Wellmen and his management team depart Canvey Island
Canvey Island have announced the departure of boss Brad Wellmen and his management team.
Brad took the top job in November 2021 after the departure of Mark Bentley to Southend United, and has delivered a great deal of success- a Pitching In Isthmian North Play Off Final win, a Premier Play Off Semi-Final place and an Essex Senior Cup win his chief triumphs.
A club statement explains:
'Canvey Island F.C. can confirm that Brad Wellmen has resigned from his position as First Team Manager.
Throughout his tenure, Brad has led the team with integrity, commitment, and passion. It has been a strong and respectful relationship, and the club is grateful for the hard work he has put in.
We fully respect his decision and wish him nothing but the very best in his future endeavours. He will always be welcome at Canvey Island F.C.
We would also like to offer our sincere thanks & appreciation to the rest of Brad's management team - Sammy Knott (Asst Manager) and Stacey Shave (GK Coach) who have also chosen to depart the club.'
