Gunner goes Green
Former Welling skipper Dean Gunner arrives at AFC Whyteleafe
AFC Whyteleafe bolstered their defence with the signing of Dean Gunner from Welling United- and he had a dream debut, scoring in a four-nil hammering of Stanway Rovers.
Dean joined Welling in January, and he helped them to safety, playing twenty times and scoring five goals. He has played another three times this season.
He started last season at Hastings United, playing fourteen times. The 24-25 season found him with Merstham, making forty three appearances and scoring five goals, following forty one and five goals during 23-24.
Dean won promotion from our South East Division with both Merstham during 2014-15, and again with Dorking Wanderers in 2016-17. He has also played for Haywards Heath Town, Three Bridges, Horsham YMCA, Whyteleafe, Greenwich Borough, Chipstead and East Grinstead Town.
