Hawks announce a Sutton duo

Earlier this week Whitehawk announced the arrival of Mehmet Halim and Liam Moore from Sutton United.

Mehmet joined Sutton in the summer of 2025, having previously played youth football for West Ham United. The forward played for the Hammers at Youth and Under 18 level prior to his move to Gander Green Lane, and went on to play for Sutton's Under 19 squad and be part of the first team squad on a number of occasions.

He had a loan spell at Leatherhead last season, playing five times and scoring four goals, and made two appearances for the first team squad at Gander Green Lane.

You might remember Liam from his time with Ashford Town, the midfielder joining the Tangerines on loan during the 24-25 campaign, playing twenty six times and scoring twice. Last season saw him spend time on loan with Cray Valley PM, playing sixteen times and scoring twice.

He made nine first team appearances at gander Green Lane, and captained the Academy side.
